Testing Facilities

The following list shows what we do in our lab, but not limited to

Our testing facility is capable of the following:

Conducting tests on wall and floor (composite) panels (up to 12-13 ft length).
Conducting flexural testing on beams, floor joists, or purlins.
Conducting web crippling tests/any buckling mode on cold-formed steel sections.
Conducting axial compression test on columns up to 2 meters length with 3000 kN capacity.
Carrying out tension tests on any structural member.
Determining the behavior of connections in constructional elements.
Determining the mechanical properties of structural material (steel plates, steel rods, bolts, and sheathing material).

Bending Test on Structural (Constructional) Components

Evaluating flexural test performance of composite floor deck system. Failure condition can be observed.

Bending test on Wall panels

4-Point bending test for determining in-plane loading behavior of wall panels. The testing is utilized for evaluating stiffness and strength of structural panels subjected to uniformly distributed loads. Deflection to span limits are strictly monitored.

Durability test (Artificial Rain) on CFRP strengthened beams

Testing to access the durability properties of Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer strengthened structures under artificial rain simulation.

Bending test on Steel Beams

4-Point bending test of bridging units to examine the stiffness and strength.

Axial Compression test on Steel Columns

Testing to determine loading pattern and structural integrity under compression.
