Structural Steel Research Group
Testing Facilities
The following list shows what we do in our lab, but not limited to
Our testing facility is
capable of the following:
Bending Test on Structural (Constructional) Components
Evaluating flexural test performance of composite floor deck system. Failure condition can be observed.
Deflection & Strain measurement locations on structure Bending test on Wall panels
4-Point bending test for determining in-plane loading behavior of wall panels. The testing is utilized for evaluating stiffness and strength of structural panels subjected to uniformly distributed loads. Deflection to span limits are strictly monitored.
Displacement gauges on Wall Panels Bending test on Floor Panels
Durability test (Artificial Rain) on CFRP strengthened beams
Testing to access the durability properties of Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer strengthened structures under artificial rain simulation.
Bending test on Steel Beams
4-Point bending test of bridging units to examine the stiffness and strength.
Axial Compression test on Steel Columns
Testing to determine loading pattern and structural integrity under compression.
Flexing test on Pultruded Panels
Load versus deflection plot to analyze failure profile of Puffed/Pultruded Wall Panels.
Bending test set-up for "Open-channel cross section" Channel beams
Test set-up diagrams and analysis for Open-channel cross sections.
